Predictive Maintenance
Together with the German DSO Bayernwerk we explored how ground faults actually drive asset condition in the mvlayer. It finally lead to a new feature in our mvcable models called “ground fault counter”, calculated by adding up all previous ground faults in one ground fault area.
This increased the performance of our prediction by about 4% in average over three years, and will now be integrated into the mv-cable forecasts of our German DSO. In addition to that, we started to collect and explore environmental data sets, as temperature, precipitation, or geology. We have achieved some first insights onto how these impact equipment. We are now integrating this data into our modelling.

City Energy Solutions - Digital Strategy
In close cooperation with the CES business, we developed and launched the first Digital Strategy outlining why and how Digitization will contribute to the overarching business growth path and how to work together in going forward.
First initiatives kicked-off – Following that strategy, we quickly move towards actions and kicked-off three initiatives within the different CES core regions: Perfomance Monitor for Heatpumps (Ger), Optimization of the entire district heating system (SWE), and Digital workforce (UK).
Digitalization of City Energy Solutions will rely on three value pools and two enablers to contribute to the overall CES strategy

EnergieMonitor
The EnergieMonitor has generated high demand, especially in Bavaria. Currently, our customer base includes 18 communities of Bayernwerk as well as other pilot customers of SHNG, E.DIS and Avacon. Regional Energy
Even outside of E.ON, further utilities have already expressed interest in the EnergieMonitor. On the product development side, EnergieMonitor 3.0 is being developed, which will offer a new design as well as new functionalities.
Regional Energy Market
Regional Energy Market - The regional energy market is a product that is set up and developed by collaboration of Bayernwerk Regio Energie, Energy Networks and Digital.ON to address the customers’ demand for greater engagement, autonomy, carbon-free energy supply and regionalization. Together with the municipality of Abensberg, our REM product was released succesfully in February. Last month the REM went live in the district of Bamberg where built one market to ignite the next stage in their journey towards future energy systems.
