We are not living an era of change, but a change of era.

We are experiencing a true revolution. One which will have the greatest impact in all of human history in terms of wealth creation. We are facing an era of change, the foundation of which is digital disruption. Digitalisation and Big Data will change everything. The explosion in the number of connections is accompanied by exponential growth in the volume of data and network traffic.

 

The entry barriers and the frontiers between products and services are disappearing and the associated lifecycles are being shortened. And customer expectations are increasing. Technology is making this all possible. And the social development brought by the digital revolution will be more than exponential. A whole new world of opportunities is open to  anyone, anywhere,  allowing us all to create a better world.

 

A 2020 vision that’s already taking shape

In our digitalised world, things are moving faster and faster. This creates uncertainty, but also opportunity. In virtually no time at all, digital life has become real life.

 

Connectivity is now an essential part of being human and we already provide this to over 300 million customers. But we have to go further. There are powerful technological possibilities within our reach that can allow people to live more full, secure and exciting lives. And we are moving to grasp these opportunities.

 

In 2012 we started a journey to become more than just a telco. Now our customers demand that we go even further; that we give them full control over their digital lives. We are becoming an OnLife Telco...

The digital life is life itself, and technology is an essential part of being human. We want to create, protect and boost connections in life so people can choose a world of unlimited possibilities. And by focusing on people, we aspire to become an OnLife Telco.

 

We are aiming to be the company that puts people at its heart, helping them to take control and join together their digital and real lives. One of the keys to this is connectivity, something that we are uniquely well placed to offer through the power of our networks. We offer people the connectivity they need and expect to interact and live.

 

Another of the keys is trust. The trust that our customers put in us to protect their data and to handle it responsibly and openly. This also means nurturing a culture of integrity, commitment and confidence.

 

As part of this we commit to returning digital sovereignty to our customers. Giving them the power to control how their data is used and when.

We choose it all

We have designed a  global programme that empowers each and every one of our employees around the world to turn this vision into a reality: WE CHOOSE IT ALL.

 

We Choose It All is the evolution of Be More and is the new global transformation programme for Telefónica. It is a set of six elements that combine everything our customers want from us and plays to our strengths and capabilities.

 

The programme and its priorities are visualised in the form of a Cube.

 

 

The Cube is made up of 3 value-propositions focused on the customer, along with 3 enablers; the tools that will help us to deliver on those propositions.

 

Our three Propositions:

 

Excellent Connectivity - This is the bottom line. It is what our customers want and what they expect from us. We know how to do this and we cannot fail.

 

Integrated Offer - We must facilitate the digital lives of our customers through better products and services, offering them unique propositions that are simple and easy.

 

Customer Experience & Values - Connectivity alone is not enough if we do not add a differentiated experience based on our values of bold, open and trusted.

 

Our three Enablers. We are going to become an Onlife Telco, one that always puts the customer at the forefront of every decision. How are we going to do it? Connectivity is still the mainstay of our business, but, in order to make a car move, you also need fuel. In our case we will use something a bit more exciting than diesel or petrol to drive our value propositions.

Big Data & Innovation - Is what allow us to go faster and take off in the exponential era. Big Data, underpinned by trust, is the key not only to getting to know our customers better but also to making the most of the resources we have available.

 

End-to-End Digitalisation - We’re either digital, or we’re nothing. We have to be 100% digital inside and out. Being digital in all our processes is no longer a choice.

 

Capital Allocation & Simplification - Our vision is very ambitious and so requires continued investment to increase our capacity. To do this optimal allocation of resources is more important than ever before.
