Robbie Williams

Robbie Williams is among the EMI artists who now feature on Telefónica O2 Czech Republic’s O2 Stream Music site.

It’s been a typically busy period for Telefónica O2 Czech Republic. Here, we give you all the latest news in our regular round-up section.

Online music site updated

Telefónica O2 Czech Republic’s O2 Stream Music site has been enhanced to offer users the chance to launch music shows or buy concert tickets as well as watch their favourite video clips.

The site has also announced an agreement with music giant EMI that will see content from its top artists, including Robbie Williams, Coldplay and leading Czech band Kabát, added to the site.

O2 Stream Music launched in April 2009 with around 10,000 clips from publishers Universal, Sony Music, Warner Music and Supraphon.

The signing of EMI means it now offers content from all the big labels.

Phone with O2 skin

O2 StyleSkins allow customers to customise their mobile with a host of colourful designs.

Personalised skins take off

Style-conscious mobile customers can now give their phones a personal touch with the launch of the O2 StyleSkin.

Customers simply choose a special phone cover design from a wide range available at www.o2styleskin.cz and can even create their own look.

Customers can also buy virtual vouchers, so they can give skins to friends and family.

Free service for deaf enhanced

Telefónica O2 Czech Republic has extended its Conversation for the Deaf service, so it is now free of charge to all people with hearing impairments.

The service uses specially trained operators to act as interpreters between people with hearing problems and other people.

It helps them in a number of common situations, be it talking with friends and family or contacting doctors and ordering goods or services.

The service is completely free to people on any network, but until now could only be facilitated via a text telephone or a fax machine.

Now it is also possible to use SMS and email as well.

“Our company has been supporting people with specific needs, such as seniors and the disabled, for a long time now,” said director of External Relations Jiří Šuchman.

“Our Conversation for the Deaf service has been available since 1997 and several thousand customers use it every year.”

O2 Extra site

The O2 Extra website has added a whole new range of benefits to recognise customer loyalty.

Benefits go Extra mile

Home and mobile customers can now access a range of great benefits via a new-look O2 Extra website.

The portal, which was originally aimed only at mobile users, now also caters for residential customers who simply need to register to take advantage of a host of features - all designed to reward their loyalty.

The site includes an SMS and MMS gateway and can be used to buy tickets for events on the TICKETPRO network.

It can also provide mobile memory back-ups and customers can access rewards such as supplement tickets to concerts and matches.

Depending on their type of membership, every customer on the O2 Extra programme gets up to 100 SMS and 100 MMS messages for free every week.

Standard tariff gives internet freedom

Customers can surf the internet, anytime, anywhere for a standard fee, thanks to a new product from Telefónica O2 Czech Republic.

Aimed at mobile internet enthusiasts, O2 Mobile Internet’s new Standard tariff has a 2MB download limit per month, but otherwise offers total freedom and transparency with no commitment.

Golden League winners bag big cash prize

Thirty top sales people from Telefónica O2 Czech Republic’s Corporate Division have shared a CZK 500,000 cash prize after meeting sales titles in three product categories.

The win was the climax of the Golden League – a motivational competition run in the second half of 2009.
